Follow Your Dreams: How To Make Your Dreams Come True
Follow Your Dreams
How do you connect the dots between your dreams and your reality? It’s wonderful to dream BIG but what steps do you need to take to make your dreams a reality? People say, you must take massive action but is that true? When you are starting out and you have this BIG dream, it can feel like you are about to climb a very steep mountain and taking massive action just seems too scary.
At this point, it’s better to take baby steps in the right direction than massive action in the wrong direction. You will be able to connect the dots by taking action, however small they may be, and by moving forward one step at a time. You may never have a clear path and you might not be sure what your next move will be. The dots may not line-up, but you have to trust yourself and take a leap of faith. But above it all, the most important thing is to give yourself permission to fail. Because if you are not failing you are not learning.
Learning Stage
We are not born knowing it all and everyone has the ability to learn. Be determined to learn and you will become unstoppable. This of course, will take time and effort from your part but if you want something bad enough, you can achieve it. Nowadays, we are able to learn from so many people and information is so easily available.
The problem with this though is that we end up going down the rabbit hole and waste time on things that don’t really matter. My suggestion is that you pick 2 or 3 people that you would like to learn from and stick with them. Don’t overwhelm yourself with everyone else’s ideas. Do what feels true to you and follow your intuition. This is true for any dream or goal you want to achieve. The clearer you are, the easier it will be to get there so stay focus and don’t try to learn everything at once.
If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you. – Zig Ziglar
Take Action & Experiment
Like anything in life, you must take action in order to achieve your dreams. You won’t get there by sitting on your ass hoping for your dreams to come true. Make a plan on the steps you need to take to get to where you want to be. When you make your plan, break it down to bite size pieces so it doesn’t overtake your life. Make it so you are able to take small steps each day towards your goals. In the beginning you won’t see much results from your efforts but once you have done it enough times, you will start seeing the results.
Taking action may also means experimenting with the different things that you are learning. Everyone is different so what may work for someone else may not necessarily work for you. But having said that, don’t jump from one thing to the next. Give yourself enough time to experiment with one thing and see how it works for you. Failing & Success
There is no success without failure, period. This is the only way we can learn and grow. I know this sucks to hear but it’s inedible. You will fail at some point and you may want to quit but DO NOT QUIT! Your dreams are worth the effort and the pain you are feeling at this moment will soon pass.
Trust me, you have what it takes to do this. You were made for this and you have no idea what your potential is at this moment so keep going and fail as many times as needed. I guarantee you that you will look back at this time in your life and realize how freaking amazing you are and what a bad ass you have become because you chose NOT TO QUIT.
